Welcome to St. Nicholas’ Episcopal Church in Newark, Delaware
St. Nicholas is a vibrant church with an intimate, reverent style of worship. The Eucharist (Holy Communion) is celebrated Sundays at 10:00 a.m. with nursery care available then. You will find that the congregation is warm, inviting, and inclusive.
Our Sunday School Programs provide
a foundation for Christian growth. Children are an important part
in our life and worship. Outreach (one of our top priorities) is
aimed at the poor, the hungry, and those in need. Our Food Pantry
has been in operation for over 25 years. Members take an active role
in leading worship. Fellowship (having fun together) is important
to our congregation.
We also think it is very important to recognize
and share our ups and downs in life. We do this each Sunday when
all are invited to share their concerns and celebrations. We call
ourselves “The church with the big heart.”
Our newsletter, The Anchor, is published monthly. Click here to see the current newsletter plus our archives.
